Port of Long Beach – Pier A Intermodal Rail Yard Development
Scheduling and CADD Support
TSG provided scheduling and Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) support for the $11.4 million intermodal rail yard at Pier A of the Port of Long Beach, part of the Alameda Corridor Project connecting the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. The project consisted of a six-track intermodal transfer yard capable of staging forty-eight double stack rail cars with more than 13,000 track feet, and a double track of more than 4,000 feet for accessing the facility. The facility can accommodate three 8,000-foot unit trains in the working yard with equivalent storage.
